Yukio Hashimoto

Designer, Hashimoto Yukio Design Studio Inc. Born in 1962 in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, Hashimoto gained his degree in design from Aichi University of the Arts, which then purchased his graduation work. In 1986, he joined Super Potato Co., Ltd. In 1996, he became a freelance designer, before establishing his own company, Hashimoto Yukio Design Studio Inc., the following year. Hashimoto has won many prizes, including the Na-shop Lighting Contest Award (Excellence Prize), the JCD Award (Excellence Prize), and the IIDA Award for Excellence. He is currently a Lecturer at Showa Women's University and Aichi University of the Arts. He is also the author of LED to magewappa: shinkasuru dentō dezain (Rikuyo-Sha Publishing).
